Get your attention? Joe Torre is my hero ... okay, hero is a strong word, but he's just amazing to me. He takes a sub-500 team and takes them to the post season. Joe has made it to the play-offs for the 12th straight year. That says something about his managerial style if you ask me.And where are the Yankees after their first season without him? Home watching Joe's Dodgers sweep the Cubbies in the NLDS. Hmm.
Which brings me to my fantasy. Now, I'm not predicting this, but it would be a dream to me if Joe went all the way to winning the World Series against ... you guessed it .... the Bosox (sorry Matty). How sweet would it be to rub that idiot Yankees organization's face in it all? I think Manny might like it a wee bit too.
As Dodgers shortstop Angel Berroa told him before drenching him in champagne last night, "Joe, you're the man."

This is easily the best blog I've read in the last year. Insightful and talented, Joanne has jumped headfirst into the new media ocean and come up with a big fish in her mouth. Congrats!
(Also, it helps that she mentioned me by name.)
The Dodgers are my favourite National League team so I'm thrilled, and surprised, they eliminated the Cubs. They never would have made it to the postseason without Manny. Joe has helped but Manny gets most of the credit. Manny would love to face the Sawx in the Series.
GO DODGERS!
Manny does deserve most of the credit, I agree. I truly believe though that a calm, even-tempered manager helps keep a team centered, so I praise Joe for that. I hope Manny gets the chance to hit some more.
I've been wearing my Dodgers hat for a week, now I'm afraid to take it off! :0)
